Nii Odoi Mensah died On Monday (11th April) whilst undergoing Kidney treatment in China
Last year, January 21, 2015, Nii Odoi Mensah announced he was suffering from a chronic kidney failure and called for financial assistance.
Doctors declared both kidneys incapable of performing their key functions effectively to keep him alive. The actor had to spend $300 weekly on dialysis.
Nii Odoi Mensah then went to China to receive treatment in the hope that $10,000 would be enough. It however was not and Film producer, Socrate Safo has also disclosed that the former president of the Ghana Actors Guild, later requested for $26,000 to undergo such treatment.
Unfortunately he died before the funds were raised.
